1981 - 1988
In 1981, the State Committee for Special Transport and its Automation Systems of Georgia was established as 'SakspetsTransporti,' which in 1988 was transformed into 'GeoSpecTrans' following changes in the General Scheme of National Economy Management of Georgia. Today it operates as GeoSpecTrans LLC.
Throughout its history, the priority directions of GeoSpecTrans LLC included cableways, monorail transport, and pneumatic transport.

2004 - 2012
Between 2004 and 2012, the company implemented numerous successful projects, including the Borjomi Cableway and Martvili's 'Kiduli People’s Cableway.'
GeoSpecTrans mainly specialized in four types of transport: swinging cableways, chairlift cableways, ski tow cableways, and rope-rail cableways. The project list includes the Funicular, University High-Rise Building - Bagebi Student City, Martvili, Khulo, Vazisubani, Vani, Vake Park - Turtle Lake, Delisi Metro - Lisi Lake, Rustaveli - Mtatsminda Reconstruction, Kazbegi - Khurtisi Cableway.

The Company Today
2012 - Present
Currently, GeoSpecTrans LLC is carrying out rehabilitation works in Chiatura, from Ninoshvili Street to Fantsulaya Street. The construction of the cableway from Upper Circle - Ninoshvili Street to Upper Circle Village - Sashverdnome has been completed.
In addition to cableways, the company manufactures concrete parabolic channels for irrigation systems and metal locking shields for hydroelectric power stations and irrigation systems.
